Great article! The moment we fully understand that we have autonomy to make the choice, whether positive or negative, we reclaim our identity and get back in the driver’s seat!
A powerful reminder that choice shapes everything; addiction, recovery, success, and even our perceptions. It’s not just about big decisions; the small, unnoticed choices define us. Owning them is the key. Thank you Adam.
Wow!! This may be one of my favorites posts I have ever read here on Substack. That we always have a choice is such an important message we all need to hear.
The choices we make are our own.. This is the diversity of life and how we grow. Have faith in yourself as I do..in you. Allow your intuition to guide you, to a spiritual self. Love for self. 🕊️❤️🕊️
Yes, choices shape our lives - even the tiniest ones.
And two liters of vodka a day? That's some achievement - at one point in my life I smoked a pack a day - the large packs - and almost had to get up in the middle of the night to smoke them all. Until I made the choice to stop.
Addictive personality - yes. And choosing to believe my addictive personality runs the show instead of my choices? Yup.
Oh Substack is a belter. I’ve never learned such breadth and depth of perspective in my life. It was a great find for me too, then I started—sorry, chose—to write some stuff myself.
This one really spoke to me. Sometimes I am so indecisive, I find myself obsessing too often about choice, what I should or shouldn't do, and what the results or consequences will be. Other times, I am impulsive, and make less than ideal choices, even when I know I'm doing it. A lifelong journey in choosing well. Looking forward to the rest in this series!
Also reminds me of this: “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”
Hey, we’re human. It’s all part of life’s rich tapestry. I don’t think all impulse is bad. Spontaneity is fun, and it’s an essential part of the human experience. But then, at what cost does that come. It’s all a game of weighing things up, reasonably well, most of the time. And that’ll do. Thanks Genevieve.
Bravo!!!! You always explain what is simple in theory but never easy. Profound. I will always read anything you write!!!
😁 brilliant. Thank you Holly.
The feeling is mutual.

Boom. That’s the article right there. Thank you for reading.
You bet man. Keep it up - it’s important!

Thank you, Tinashe. Totally agree.
(Didn’t catch your comment earlier - my apologies)

A pleasure, Nick. Thank you.
Such bravery in all of your choices.
I read the article with amazement, without taking a breath. I look forward to reading further into your journey. Thank you, Adam…
I continue to respect your strength.
Wow, Debbie. Thank you for reading it with such enthusiasm. Hey I respect your strength too. Keep on.
I hope in life I have such incredible strength.. Perhaps sometimes we don't think as deeply with the choices we make.

Yikes. Well. We’re all better now…..(right?)
Awesome idea buddy. Looking forward to what is next.
Me too. It’s a case of which 3 or 4 ideas make the cut out of the 1000 running through my head. Thanks for reading, Kyle. I appreciate the support.
I can empathize with that statement very much
😂
Thankfully, I can discard about half of them right away as they’re too inappropriate to share…
I chose to read it
A splendid choice.
I choose to be grateful upon hearing this news.
I studied a different kind of mechanics though to do with levers and gears etc
I chose to borrow the word from you lot because it’s sounds very physicsy.
I’ve done a number #2 that’s more about what we’re choosing to do here—putting choice words in language to find hidden choices.
Yeah it was good , I’m just reading lots of different things on here at the moment just getting the feel of Substack still learning about it really
